Traditional cement render is made from clean sand, cement and lime. Depending on the ‘look’ required, rendering can be fine or coarse, textured or smooth, natural or coloured, pigmented or painted.
Most of the products used in tradional solid plastering will be mixed onsite by our expeneced staff. Where possible we incorparte the modern science and techniques to optimize the performance of the traditional products and application.
Our acrylic based render & texture coating systems are the most innovative and stylish way to render your property.
Acrylic rendering has been tried and tested for decades and offers more than just render. Acrylic renders are flexible, highly impact and weather resistant and will not crumble or separate from the surface.
Acrylic premixed renders have even higher enhanced water resistance and strength.
They can be used on a wider variety of surfaces, including concrete, cement blocks, and AAC concrete panelling.
Acrylic renders take only 2 days to dry and cure- much faster than the traditional render.
Some of these premixed acrylic renders have a smoother complexion than traditional renders. There are also a wide variety of acrylic bound pigmented 'designer' finishing coats that can be applied over acrylic render. Depending upon the product, they can be rolled, trowelled or sponged on. A limited number can also be sprayed on. Various finishes, patterns and textures are possible such as sand, sandstone, marble, stone, stone chip, lime wash or clay like finishes. There are stipple, glistening finishes, and those with enhanced water resistance and anti fungal properties.
We use 100% acrylic, flexible, waterproof, heat reflective and elasticity products to ensure your fresh look lasts the test of time. Also, combined with our energy efficient paint membrane system that reflects 50% of solar heat by infrared reflection. Polished concrete/glass face render is one of the most popular modern finishes on the market today.
Made popular by the block it is a very industrial raw look that can be applied to brick, poly syrene, cement sheet or even plasterboard, it is a difficult product to finsh as the base coat needs to be finished to a very high standard, lots of time and love need to be put into applying the finishing coat to get an even flat finish, the great unique feature of this product is every trowell stroke adds to the feature of the final finish making each job individual.
These rusted pillars once were 5 boring brick pillars waiting to stand out and be the feature of the front yard and allure you to the entrance.
It was a long process completed over several days, first they needed rendering to hide the mortar lines and give a flat surface to be able to apply a very smooth render finish, next was a undercoat to seal the render, then the transformation happened with the rust effects applied over 5 coats to give a deep rusted appearance, finally a sealer over the top to stop any leaching of the rust to surrounding substrates.
Once completed they certainly were the main feature of the front yard, with some plants and exposed aggregate surrounding them the rich rusty colours really stood out!
A simple front facade on this property at Ringwood was dated and desperately needed a change, the old style bay windows and simple pier at the front door lacked street appeal, with all the other renos this house has had the facade let its appearance down.
We removed the bay window and built a right angled box to suit the new modern windows and built an extension to the portico to give the entrance a bolder impresion, we also covered the old weatherboards above garage door with lightweight polystyrene cladding, once rendered with the front brick piers it will give the illusion of brick across the lintel.

We also have other accredited systems with full BCA codes to Australian standards, comes in 50mm,75mm and 100mm thicknesses and suitable for the new 6 star energy ratings.
